Gay Young Ousley

Gay Young Ousley has loved fabric since teaching herself to sew at age nine.  Known primarily for her landscapes, she combines painting techniques and collage principles with hand dyeing and quilting.

Gay’s work has been exhibited at various venues, including the Museum of Western Art in Wickenburg, Arizona; Fiber Arts Fiesta, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Textures Gallery, Scottsdale, Arizona; and Ricky Tims Art Quilt Gallery in La Veta, Colorado.  Her work has won numerous awards, and she is proud to have her quilt “She’s Come Undone” selected for inclusion in the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative.
