Georgina Chapman

Georgina began Quilting in 1996 after taking early retirement as a Pharmacist. In 1997 she began the four
year City and Guilds course in Patchwork and Quilting. Whilst doing this she also started teaching across
Scotland and the North of England as well as in Colorado. Her quilts have won numerous awards and she has
had one of her quilts exhibited in the National Art Gallery of Scotland as well as the Quilters’ Guild of the
British Isles Museum in York. She also supervised the making of four huge banners for St Giles Cathedral in
Edinburgh. These banners went on to win the Saltire Award for Art and Architecture in Public places in
Scotland. A former Pharmacist and Chemical Analyst, Georgina has lived in Edinburgh for over fifty. Her
other interests include Embroidery, Reading, Theatre, Classical Music and also travelling.
