I have been fascinated with quilts since living next door to the Amish in Indiana 20 years ago. Originally a die hard traditionalist, I remember exactly the quilt that made me understand them as art (Alison Goss’s 1991 winner at Paducah, Ancient Directions). I confess, I still love a lot of the traditional quilts but when I quilt I want to play.
When I am not quilting I like to fly fish, to travel or give parties and I read way too much. I have a lucky life.
