“Bridges”  Exhibit Travels to the East Coast

After appearing at Denver National II in 2007, the art quilts of “Bridges” were invited and will appear at

the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival,

Hampton, Virginia (near Chesapeake Bay Area and Williamsburg)

Feb 21 – 24, 2008.

Then the exhibit moves on to The Quilt Fest of New Jersey, February 28 to March 2, 2008, Somerset, NJ.

AQuA members chose “Bridges” as their theme for a new exhibit of art quilts at the

Denver National Quilt Festival II,

being held for the second year in Denver, Colorado.

May 3 through May 6, 2007

The Bridges theme statement each artist started with:

A bridge can be concrete and steel stretching for miles or a simple wooden plank across a ditch.  They can be manmade or carved by nature.  But there are also invisible bridges, those involving connection or transition. Join The Art Quilt Association on a trip across many bridges.
