Kudos Corners : Applause

This page is to highlight the art of our AQuA members getting out and into the world. Whether in publications, juried or open invite showings, near and far, it is in this space that we will give applause to our members accomplishments. Hip Hip Hooray!

There are so many kudos to highlight, I fear I have missed one or two or four…..Please speak up! Congrats all!

Gay Young has her masterpiece “Mesa Verda” headed to the NQM Fiber Art Fiesta.

Kim Keller has a piece in the Colorado National Monument art calendar and it is being used to advertise submission for the 2025 calendar. Kim also had her Snowy Owl accepted into a juried SAQA show called Camouflage

Sharon Braunagel has her Turtle and Magnificent Iris headed to Paducah. Well done Sharon.

Linda Beach had an article published in the Winter issue of Art Quilting Studio magazine entitled “Branching Out”.

Marla Ferguson-Leak has her “Stop the Madness” quilt in the online Anti-War 2024 exhibit and her “Anger with a Capital A” is also featured online.

Gay Young and Kim Keller both had works juried in the SAQA New Mexico  call for entry entitled “Personality Plus” that will hang in Carslbad NM February 9 through March 28, 2024.Barbara Yates Beasley was the juror.  Interestingly, they both did very different dog portraits/  (The Impeccable Mr. P and Gigi respectively). In addition, Gay’s piece is the center piece of the advertisement. Congratulations Gay and Kim.

   

 

Gay Young had a piece entitled “Safe Spot” juried into the show Evolutions qt the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum in Golden, CO. The show will hang in April 2024. More much deserved recognition for Gay’s considerable talent.

Mary Grande was thrilled to be accepted into the biennial show Sacred Threads held July 14-24, 2022.in the Floris United Methodist Church in Herndon, VA outside Washington, DC. She wants to thank Marla Ferguson-Leak, whose work has been juried into this show several times, for the encouragement to submit.
