Calls for entry for 2024
-
- The Art Quilt Association is excited to announce that our members will have an exclusive AQuA exhibit, “Strutting Our Style,” which is scheduled to open Sept. 6, 2024, at The Art Center, 1803 N. Seventh St., in Grand Junction, CO.
- Each member is invited to enter one art quilt in this non-juried, open-themed show. There is no entry fee. Art can be listed for sale. Dimension is limited to a width and length of 50″ inches. The entry does not have to be a new piece, but it must adhere to these guidelines: original work only, meaning no kits, commercial patterns or panels.
- Turn in will start at the August 15th monthly AQuA meeting and will end on August 30. If you cannot attend the 8/15 meeting a TBD location in town will be provided for you to arrange drop-off. Quilts will be delivered as a group to the Art Center, none individually.
- This 2024 AQuA The Art Center Show form must be completed and preferably turned in at the 8/15 meeting.
- All quilts will be hung on slats that are to be constructed and provided by the exhibitor. Mary & Linda led a discussion on the proper way to make a slat at the July meeting and there is how-to a link here.
